“It’s basically a hodgepodge of middle-age and senior citizen right-wingers with various reactionary grievences who either took the day off or are retired. These are not the people who will drive a movement forward. The only youth that seemed to be present were young kids who were dragged along as props to hold signs that they didn’t write such as “Please don’t tax my future”.”
And which tea party did grace your presence? I attended the rally in Sacramento on the steps of the Capital. Our congress happened to be in “session” at the time and we were hard to ignore. I saw folks of all ages, many in their 20′s and 30′s (sorry to burst your bubble), many in their 40′s like myself and hubby and yes many other that were older than me. Hey – newsflash – we’re ALL Americans and we ALL have a voice no matter our age or tax bracket. The Sac Bee, our local liberal rag reported there were about 5000 people in attendance. That seemed about right from my vantage point which was directly in front of the stage. And for the record, Cavuto was not a headliner, he did not speak to the crowd. His role was simply there to cover the event. In fact we didn’t have a big Fox news personality at our event and I’ve read many accounts that Sacramento drew the highest numbers of people. ‘Splain that. BTW my favorite chant, “VOTE THEM OUT”!!!!!
