I was at the tea party above and the crowd was definitely over 1,000 and closer to 2,000.

As a matter of factual reportage, I noticed no Acorn infiltrators nor anyone attempting to disrupt the proceedings. There were two or three people grouped around a couple of signs equating Obama to Hitler but — genuine or agent provocateur — they remained subdued and were largely ignored.

Also, I had not heard Andrew Breitbart speak before (although I had read pieces by him). He is a very passionate and inspiring man and it is good to know there are those types in the People’s Republik of Hollywood. Maybe there’s hope for them yet. I mean, after all, creative people who chafe at marching in lock step with one of their own might just consider conservatism the “new wave” and liberalism “so fifteen minutes ago”.

Be advised that Santa Ana, California on a week day getting 2,000 working people with their school children to attend was some feat. One must wonder what the 4 July get-togethers will be like. I know a lot of us signed up to volunteer and — “one of [his] own” and other trolls notwithstanding, I gotta figure that this bodes well for a grass roots campaign and ill for you guys unless you strap the armor on and prepare to do battle instead of just sitting there belching out your rumors along with Coca Cola gas. And, no, this is not being co-opted or sponsored or fueled by right-wing reactionary groups, but, trolls and menopausal, shrieking psycho-bitch [P]MS-NBC commentators, if it makes you feel good to think that, then knowck yourself out.

In point of fact, my brothers and sisters, I am struck at how the left — or those charged with letting the air out of our tea parties — are working really hard to do so. I mean the poor souls on CNN and [P]MS-NBC were busting a gut to downplay the attendance figures in places like Atlanta, Sacramento, Houston, and San Antonia. Also, Fox ran a graphic last night that was a shocking as the old Red State/Blue State map post-election 2000. The country was littered with little balloons indicating where these assemblages were being held. Also, it is refreshing to see the anti-tea party commentary just doesn’t get it either. And I say let them dodder along in their dismissive ignorance. They keep downplaying this and they will be in for a surprise probably as big as Jimmy Carter was in for in November 1980..

..or like the British on 19 April 1775.
