No one’s trying to impose any moral structure on you, Muhammed.
As a British subject, you have simply chosen to follow the laws of your religion as opposed to the civil law of the country in the area of marriage and family law.
You should not be shocked or affronted if British courts take issue with this position.
Fear not, however, as Britons seem increasingly inclined to accommodate your lifestyle, see numerous attempts at accommodation plus such things as the recent ruminations of the Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams.
It seems like throughout Europe, a large part of the agenda of Islam is to gradually take over and subdue if not completely eliminate civil and secular law.
Might I suggest, however, that since your Muslim-ness takes precedence over your British-ness, you might be more comfortable living in a Muslim country for the time being.
I hope this helps.
