Equally offensive to me is the polygamy practiced in Utah and elsewhere in the US. We cannot now feign moral outrage over Islam’s treatment of women, when entire enclaves in our society are accepted along with their similar nefarious practices.
To each his own – as long as I never have to go out of MY way to accommodate the bullshit, I don’t really care. Women who adhere to Islam and live in the west have a way out – If they choose not to opt out, and not to demand their due in the context of a society that will acquiesce their request – then it’s their lives and I have no sympathy for them.
Some seek enlightenment and others prefer ignorant bliss. It’s a free country, na?
