Obama received a $1.2 million advance on a book prior to June 2005?
He had just been elected to the US senate a few months earlier and was completely unknown outside of Illinois, so his book probably wouldn’t have sold more than a couple thousand copies if he hadn’t become a successful presidential candidate.
What’s going on here?
