Obama and Biden are bullies who are threatening to shoot down Israeli Air Force fighters and bombers who try to traverse air space we control, directly or indirectly. I think Obama’s overtures to the Turks may have been to get Turkey to deny the Israelis egress.
Israel has no choice but to pre-emptively destroy the Iranian nuclear weapons development sites. Mutually Assured Destruction is not a deterrent to the Mullahs. Netanyahu knows this. Obama is clueless about it. Netanyahu has only one duty: to his nation and to his people. He has not the luxury of placating a couple of bullies who live inside our Beltway and who, in all likelihood, would never be able to make the kinds of decisions the Israeli leader has to make.
So, the Israelis will have to beef up their strike package, in case our men in the air obey orders. I hope our men disobey the President and challenge the Constitutionality of his command in court. Obama had better watch his step here. He has so many ways in which he can lose this fight.
One thing I am sure of. He will be out of office in 2013. This guy is worse than Carter, and we know what happened to Jimmah.
This is the first time in my life I would be rooting for my nation to lose a fight. A sad fact.
