You argue for reason yet start this piece saying something unreasonable: “Just as some people are born left-handed, others, unfortunately, are born left-wingers.”
If DNA’s got something to do with it, we don’t have the evidence yet.
I think it’s simply explained: for left-wingers politics is a form of religion, thus their political convictions can be as impervious to reason as religious dogma.
