There is no conflict between love and standing fast in the truth. Christ cautioned us to be “wise as serpents and gentle as doves”. The two thoughts do not conflict…and notice which one he mentioned first.
The scriptures admonish all those who know Christ to “stand fast, and having done all, to stand.”
