My two daughters go to a modern day one room school house in Southern California. There are 8 kids in the elementary school with one teacher and numerous teacher aids. Both are excelling in different subjects that, they enjoy while staying at class level in all other subjects. They don’t have to start over each year getting to know a new teacher. This is true for the teacher too. She knows where they left off and continues teaching at that point for the next year. Due to the small size of class they are able to take alot of field trips. Since we are a private school we get no government funding so the parents are very involved in fundraisers to keep the school going. I’m so glad that my girls are attending this school. My wife is a sixth grade teacher in a public school. We know they wouldn’t get this kind of education in public school.
