I also challenge the propagandistic choice of the two smiling doe-eyed hijabbed faces next to the title of this item. The choice itself perpetuates the brazen lie that there’s nothing to worry about when one sees hijabbed women, that there’s no bad association to be drawn between the atmospherics of fascist Islam and fascist Islam itself. The hijab is an atmospheric manifestation of fascism and oppression, doe-eyed smiley faces notwithstanding.
The next time we read a similar dreamy discussion about the pros and cons of Nazism, I hope PajamasMedia will choose a daisy covered field of blond blue eyed children of Nazis, just to be fair.
