Phyllis,

Another riveting article by you. I simply cannot stop reading you.

However here, why do you write in such a moderate tone. Perhaps you don’t feel as if I did, and perhaps, as a male, I am simply having a particularly strong reaction to the horrid and vicious nature of PREMEDITATED killings which are much much much different than killing in the heat of the moment. And likely, as a professional in your field, you must adopt an air of decorum.

And yes, you do point that out — that “honor killings” (and like the above commenter, I detest using those words together) cannot possibly be compared with “domestic violence!” But I’d use far stronger words: these comparisons between “HK” and domestic violence (even where the latter results in death) are patently ridiculous on their face! Two seconds of analysis by any rational person will reveal this fact.

To compare domestic violence (a horrible thing which, thankfully the US has responded to for the most part) to the PREMEDITATED murder of an easily manipulated and scared female family member…. it baffles me! It sickens me!

It displays the worst of Muslim “Taqiyya.” It paints a grossly different picture of Motherly protection (of her children) than that to which we take for granted in the West. As a Muslim female, you are never far from being marked for death if you stray or cannot be sloughed off into a marriage that has been bartered over and negotiated as two men would the trade-in value of a used car!

PREMEDITATION — this is a characteristic of a murder that is rightly separated out in our justice system on purpose. Separate charges can be filed (by “THE PEOPLE” — that’s us) in premeditation murders because they arguably involve NO EMOTION or they’ve “been drained of” or have nothing anymore to do with emotion (the only real mitigating factor other than mental disease in a murder).

When planned out over time, heated emotion has ample chances to dissipate. Premeditation means cold and calculated, sometimes over months or years and a premeditated murder simply cannot, A PRIORI, be compared to killing in the heat of the moment.

It’s just beyond me that we have allowed this scourge… this sick disease into our country. And for G-d’s sake YES: it’s done my MUSLIMS MUSLIMS MUSLIMS, a thousand times over MUSLIMS.

As a name I recognize above (LibertyShip) mentions, Quakers do NOT do this!? Mormons do NOT do this!? NO GROUP but Muslims do this sick thing which directly rebuts Western Values — even more: it’s a stake into the heart of our culture!

And while individuals may do this, again, the only GROUP which does this is
M U S L I M S.
