There would be no medicare or medicaid if the big-government, nanny state, socialist Lyndon Johnson wouldn’t have rammed the Great Society down our throats. He damaged our country irreparably. Add what he did to what FDR did and it’s no wonder we’re in the mess we’re in.
This country existed for 150 years without entitlement programs and prospered and turned out strong people of character, shaped by personal responsibility and hard work and faith. Our ancestors would look at us in scorn. To not pay your own way and not take care of yourself and your own family was considered shameful, as it should be. Now people are proud of being lazy and uneducated and totally dependent on government for their survival. And the crime is that they have the right to vote.
