As a Republican I rarely read anything written or produced by partisan Democrats so this is a rare occurrence which could not be passed up. I take Mr. Reddy’s courageous admission that he’s a “partisan democrat” at face value as my dictionary’s definition of partisan is a “biased supporter…..” which I take to mean is one who supports on the basis of affiliation as opposed to substance.
Nothing much to say about 1 & 2 except to agree that “Maybe the Tea Party revolt of 2009-10 is for real.”
As for 3, The president could get personally blamed. Damned right and rightfully so. Does Patrick think he’s blameless?
As to 4, could happen to anyone but Mr. Reddy ignores the fact, perhaps intentionally so or perhaps wishful thinking, that George Bush and the Republicans were largely responsible for the economic disaster that any intelligent, insightful and accurate assessment shows was the fault of the Community Reinvestment Act and Bill Clintons strengthening of same that caused the infamous housing bubble that is at the core of America’s and thus Obama’s current dilemma, one that he apparently does not or refuses to recognize as having anything to do with the democrats. It’s George W. Bush’s fault as Obama and Mr. Reddy’s democrats are forever reminding us.
As for number 5 Mr. Reddy and his democrats might be a little more concerned that Obama may get voted out because of the American debt crisis he so cleverly and determinedly engineered and I take no pleasure in the fact that this was accomplished with little to no effective resistance from my side.
Number 6. The Middle East has already erupted and continues to erupt while both the democrats and the republicans remain clueless to the underlying dangers. But, unfortunately for Obama, he has taken an already volatile situation and made it considerably worse by compounding George Bush’s efforts to “reach out” to the so called “religion of peace” in an effort to atone for our past sins which no one seems to be able to define with any certainty. It is in fact very simple. They hate America and much of the rest of the world because they are not Muslims………period and no amount of a** kissing or boot licking is going to mollify these fanatical bas****s.
Number 7 is certainly a legitimate concern for Obama and number 8 as well although the latter could work against both the major parties.
Number 9 is highly unlikely as his victory in 2008 proved. Question is, in 2012, whether his rhetoric, charisma and oratorical skills can overshadow the gross incompetence the voters have been exposed to over the past four years.
Numbers 10 and 11 I can only fervently wish turn out to be true.
Number 12 is of course added to make it an even dozen but this could effect any candidate from any party.
All in all Mr. Reddy’s “analysis” is what would be expected from any partisan that makes no effort to make decisions based on an intelligent assessment of the candidate or what the candidate stands for. There is nothing here about class warfare, America’s declining influence in foreign affairs, the persistent lack of economic growth, the enormity of the ever growing national deficit, a rogue justice department, egregious recess appointments, the growth of government, the illegal immigration problem, “fast and furious,” the green energy debacle, the Keystone Pipeline decision, “Obamacare,” etc., etc., etc. any and all of which will have a much bigger influence on the 2012 election than just a bunch of random quirks resulting in Obama losing in 2012 for nothing to do with his amply demonstrated incompetence.
