The White House cook, candy shop, flower shop are not taken from the President’s wage. Neither is the estimated $60,000 per hour cost to run Air Force One to take trips like the Leno/60 minutes appearances.
Why did Daschle get into trouble? Not knowing where private and public gratuities are. Something Congress and the Administration needs to check on before they comment.
