Martin has hit upon a very important issue. Sarah Palin, an ardent Israel supporter was disinvited from speaking out against Ahmadinejad the day before he was warmly welcomed at the UN, with the support of Jewish groups! This was without question one the lowest moments in American Jewish history and I regret having lived to see it.
The question is what happens now? Obviously by looking at the posts here there are conservative Jews who understand what is happening, even in Boston! Where should we congregate, where should we organize? Are there organizations already in place where we can go forward and grow or do we need to start new ones? I do not think we can effect change from within the existing orgs that Sol speaks of.
