FFFFF: The fact that the lady whom you referred to is an ex-muslim indicates that muslims are just people who subscribe to a particular (incorrect) belief system, but who, nonetheless can be pursuaded to abandon their (incorrect)beliefs, if properly debated and demonstrated that their ideology is incorrect. The failure of western civilisation is its willingness to ascribe legitimacy to ideologies or religions which are demonstrably evil and incompatible with human rights, which most people, throughout the world recognise as fundamental. Even in those societies where they are ‘abridged’, they are generally regarded as legitimate aspirations. The belief that islam, or any other totalitarian ideology can be defeated by military means alone is an abandonment of faith in human nature. The judeo-christian values, upon which western civilisation are founded are demonstrably more conducive to human dignity and happiness than islam. The failure of western leadership, largely through post-colonial guilt is giving an undeserved advantage to the islamiscists. Islamic expansion is being achieved, not because islam is a superiour religion and the islamicists are winning in debate. It is being achieved because the western leadership has choosen a suicidal strategy of appeasement and concession. It has also chosen to neutralise and marginalise the grass-roots dissatisfaction with this defeatist policy. Just as nothing suceeds like success, nothing fails like failure. Western leaderships policy of undermining opposition to islamicisation may be the greatest contribution to the polarisation of society, because eventually, islamicists will make demands which no-one is prepared to concede and already emboldened, the muslims will seek to impose them by force.
