You are spot on.
Launching rockets from the Moon would be a heckuva lot cheaper than launching them from Earth. That is for sure.
A moon base really would begin that off-the-comfy-homeworld-adventure that is essential to establish us permanently in space.
After all, what is the rest of the 2012 campaign about but how to keep the padding in our damned overstuffed couch we potato on?
