To the masses, John Stewart is funny. I will admit to liking his comedy when it is truly funny. He is absolutely great at what he does, and is consummately like-able despite my political persuasion. His intellect is custom made for brilliant comedy, and he is clearly engaged in his calling. We should all be so lucky.

To those educated in matters of policy, John Stewart is himself comedy. A peddler of surface level understandings at absolute best. And I expect nothing less of a former MTV talk show personality. He is quick to harness his comedic talents to score political points, but never ceases to inject comedy when a point is made against him, to be quickly reinforced by his homogenous, hopelessly conformist audience. His comedy unsubtly proceeds from the absurd notion of many liberals, that conservatives are simply evil.

John, do you hear me? You are smart enough to know that this is true, and yet you continue to engage in it because you believe your cause is just. You are a special comedic talent, but as for politics, you have simply picked a side. And frankly, as a Jew, he seems to have picked the wrong side.
