Conservatives hate Jon Stewart because he succeeded widly at what conservatives have always failed at – providing biting political commentary that is funny and appeals to an intelligent audience.
Conservatives tried to do that on Fox with the 1/2 Hour News Hour and failed miserably.
Liberal writers are just smarter and funnier, I guess.
