Seeing as how this is in fact a republic, and “titles of nobility” are specifically forbidden by the Constitution, we should NOT allow politicians “life long titles.” I’m a small “r” republican (as well as a conservative). Just my rant…political offices aren’t life long tenancies…and the titles that attend them should end once that individual leaves office.
