When attacked because of his wealth, Romney should continue to point out that he did not inherit that wealth, but earned it, and add that his great wealth guarantees that, as our President, he can’t be bought by special interests. He has no need for post-Presidential speaking fees or book sales or directorships or other sources of remuneration that might influence him while in office. He should also indicate that, if elected and if Newt will take the job, he will appoint Newt to the post of White House Press Secretary. White House press briefings would then become one of the highest rated television events in history. We can only dream.
