Pew Research found that two percent of Americans — and six percent of young people — identified Stewart as their favorite journalist.
This indicates the state of TV journalism more than where those people are using as a primary news source. Stewart is much more funny if you know the news. Even if we take as given that this 2% go to Stewart as a primary news source, in that last poll I saw nearly 14% listed talk radio as their primary news source. Talk radio is every bit as partisan (though to your side), more guilty on the editing front, frequently cuts of guests mikes, and regularly hides behind the I’m just an entertainer line. The recent kerfuffle over Rush and the flurry of responses that he isn’t a leader, he’s an entertainer talk illustrates this rather well.
Re: the editing of the Cramer piece
I watched both and Cramer came of every bit as bad in the unedited version.
