Nonsense. There’s nothing more obscene than a bunch of people appropriating another man’s life (and death) for a chance to offer feigned condolences and grief in return for smug self-righteousness. I’m not on his grave. You’re trying to hitch a ride on his cloud.
But hey, what does that matter when you can squeeze a couple more days of weeping out of it? Nice guy, pretty good actor, smart and articulate, and now he’s dead. It happens every day. Quit wrapping yourself in the legacy of a stranger.
