I don’t think it was Prof. Eck on her own who made that decision. As far as I understand, the decision to exclude Prof. Swami was made by a democratic vote among the faculty’s senior members. In this sense you’re right. And it is highyl unfair of Prof.em. Chesler to make Prof. Eck a scape goat. Sounds to me like some private axe which Chesler tries to grind here.
By the way: Has anyone at all read anything by Prof. Tariq Ramadan? Do. It’s highly enlightening.
