You know, even as a conservative, I mostly have liked Stewart, but he’s really been kind of insufferable since Obama was elected. It’s like he’s afraid to laugh at Obama, and he doesn’t have Bush to kick anymore, so he’s just doubling-down on nastiness. It’s not working. He may get yelps from his audience, but he’s not actually funny, anymore.
And he’s a bit cowardly. I’ll start thinking Stewart has balls again when he runs videotape of Obama’s teleprompter gaffe with the Irish PM or makes fun of Obama’s “special olympics” remark with even 1/10th of the vigor he’d have done with Bush.
Until then, I’m off the Daily Show. It’s one thing to be a partisan humorist, Mr. Stewart. It’s another thing to just be a partisan hack.
