When a person is on the dole they SHOULD feel ashamed if they’re on it too long. Society is based on people being self-sufficient and not draining the money away from those who earn it. A lot used to be said in the 60′s about being a “productive member of society” in that a person had a job, wasn’t a criminal and generally held good character.
