Muslim Rage at Military Parade: An Ominous Sign for UK

I think when you see the broader story (presented in-part by some informed comments here) this is hardly an ominous sign for the UK, and actually demonstrates a glimmer of hope that some are willing to stand up against the radicals. If anything, the protesters inadvertently drummed up pro-Britain sentiment that may not have been mustered if it wasn’t for their offensive remarks.

I think that the image of British police standing in defense of these individuals given the circumstances is painful to see. It is painful considering that those protesters obviously hate their own country and try to smear those who pledge their life to bring her security. It would also be nice if the enforcement of British law was such that a moderate Muslim does not have to fear for their life to join the ranks who welcome the soldiers home.

I’m hoping that those guys will bring their signs to Iraq and try their protests over there. They might be surprised when Iraqis mistake them for Al Qaeda terrorists and then they’ll wish they still had those British police there to defend them.
