May I suggest a goal for the Tea-Party movement. On the Federal level support only candidates who were not present in Washington from 2006, the point where oversight of the mortgage and banking system was rejected by Congress, until now. Republican or Democrat – no difference. Though there are disadvantages to the governance system if a House and Senate washing were to take place regularly, it would be appropriate for such an event to occur at this point in our history.
I am outraged, as outraged as I ever get, that legislation has been passed by Congress without it having been read and properly considered. If the legislative process is too complicated for humans – even ivy league humans – then it should be simplified so that errors can be detected. If errors cannot be detected, then don’t legislate. Same for the executive branch. Obama promised a line by line consideration of expeditures. We got “that’s old business.” What a crock!
