Muslim Rage at Military Parade: An Ominous Sign for UK

Oh dear Oh dear. Speaking as a Brit, my government’s limp-wristed accomodations with domestic radical Islam depress me. So does the foam-flecked hysteria displayed by the commentators on this site.

The facts of the situation are easy to uncover. There were 20 Islamist demonstrators in Luton, who were howled down by the crowds greeting the troops. To make things up to the soldiers, the town council had the parade repeated two days later. It went off without incident. A similar parade was held in Bolton (which has a sizeable Muslim population) the following week. There were no demonstrators at all. We are hardly talking about the Turkish hordes at the gates of Vienna.

As regards the “they-breed-like-rabbits-and-will-make-your-wife-wear-a-bhurka” point, it is simply nonsense. Reputable demographers, of which Mark Steyn is not one, predict that Europe’s Muslim population will peak at 10% in 2020. Indeed, this is the figure quoted by Daniel Pipes who is hardly the man to downplay an Islamist threat.

We in Britain are well protected by (1) the skill and diligence of our security services (2) the fact that the majority of British Muslims (though not nearly enough) neither condone, fund nor participate in terror tactics and (3) the almost comical Laurel and Hardy inepitude of the Islamists themselves: one managed to incinerate himself while attempting to kill passengers at Glasgow Airport.

In short, we have plenty to guard against but little to fear. Fear leads to fascism – and yes, I’m talking about you “Dr. Mark”!
