Kulaks didn’t wait. If you had read the Gulag archipielago you would know they revolted and were mowed down with machineguns. Also Lenin’s regime was illegitimate from day 1 and totally illegitimate from the day the Lettonian riflemen dissolved national assembly. So it was ever a question of force with the anti-communists lacking it (and NKVD agents shooting in the backs of Red army soldiers when they didn’t advance).
In Obama’s case people think he is legitimate and you have to convince them. That requires to wait. The alternative is bypassing the law and Constitution. That means confronting the US Armed Forces whose oath tells of “defending the Constititution and Laws of the United States against all of their enemies”. Good luck then.
