Thank you others for pointing out hat what was liberal then is (supposed to be anyway) the creed of republicans now. Classical liberalism. Still the gold standard.
My husband is hispanic, and also military as is all his family. I can assure you they may be brown but are NOT democrats. I was raised a spoiled little rich white girl who of course thought it was sooo terrible and unfair that we had so much. 0f course I felt no real need to give up personally, but I was a very liberal democrat. Thankfully I grew up. And out on my own, having to actually work, I realized I had been full of crap and so were the democrats.
I love the book “Who Really Gives”. It’s been proven in my life. My husband and I give a lot though we don’t have a whole lot.
