The question of Black Liberation Theology of Rev. Wright is important. It marks Rev. Wright’s “church” as a cult. Does anyone remember the Rev. Jim Jones of the People’s Temple in California? His was also a Liberation Theology. He took his entire congregation to Guyana in South America and told them all to commit “revolutionary suicide”, which they did. Jones was a socialist and very popular with the Democrats. Jones you see was a cult leader and not a religious priest. The difference between a cult and a religion is that the religion worships a supersensory God – all powerful and merciful. The cult worships the cult leader. That is what gave the Rev. Jim Jones the power of life and death over his cult members.
