Hi Dr. Helen!
I’m an avid fan of your site, and as I earn well over $500k, I am one of the many affected in the current jihad against the rich. Like many of your readers, I too am considering reducing my income to get under the $250k “firewall”. However, as was recently pointed out to me by my accountant, doing so will apparently reduce my standard of living.
Option two: Going Galt. First let me thank you for giving me this ingenious idea. However, I’m considering a twist: rather than simply dropping out of society (and therefore reducing my standard of living, see above), I’d like to move to a country where my contributions are more appreciated.
The only problem I’m having is in finding a suitable destination. As was recently pointed out to me by my driver, most of the “good countries” are plagued with tax rates even higher than those here!
Any advice from you or your readers?
