You can’t debate Leftists for the same reason you can’t debate Mohammedans — they want your society destroyed and (ultimately) you dead. For Leftists, Marxism/Communism is only a rationalization for what they do; not the reason. Most non-lunatic Leftists know by now that Leftism doesn’t ‘work’, but the not-working nightmare is their goal, not a mistake.
