There’s plenty of good atheists; plenty of bad Christians. — ignatov
…that’s certainly true. And, for your and others edification, it’s in the scriptures like that too.
Vis-a-vis the good atheists, as Paul recounts it, there are people who follow God’s precepts without ever knowing Him. It’s something they are self-aware of.
Vis-a-vis bad ‘christians’, just look at history, pay particular attention to Jimmy Swaggart, Jim Bakker, a group of Roman Catholic ‘priests’ vis-a-vis alter boys, some of the Medieval Popes, etc., etc., etc…..
Still and all, I’ve yet to see an atheist come forward with a ‘Rule Book’ on what is ‘good’ and what is ‘evil’.

P.S. Maybe this plays into Niven and Pournelle’s Escape from Hell, as reviewed by the BlogFather the other day….In heaven there are no laws. In hell all there is is law and it is meticulously applied.
