“Germany, Europe’s biggest economy, loves to outsource some of its industries to the much cheaper Eastern European countries. Its half socialist, half conservative and free trade supporting government …”
Germany has got two parties in federal government at the moment (since 2005): CDU which are christian-democrats and SPD which are social-democrats, both are in no way socialist and both beware of being so in any way. The main socialist party was the PDS which has fusioned with the WASG (a new party mainly of disappointed former social-democrats not amused about the anti-worker-politics which the SPD started with the greens in 2004, namend “Hartz IV”, the mere end of dignity in social services)- to form the “Linke” (leftist) party which gained stronger during the last year (by entering several regional parliaments in the western part of germany) and thus forcing the other parties to talk about social and workers affairs instead of talking only about economy needs.
