I too avoided Rush’s program for years, believing the knee-jerk comments that he was simply a rabid, over-the-top entertainer, not to be taken seriously. And if you listen to him once or twice I can see how you might arrive at that conclusion. But if you listen to him for a couple of weeks or longer, which I finally did, you realize he speaks a lot of sense and truth. And I find that I agree with him about 95% of the time. Is he the new leader of the GOP? I don’t know, but I am firmly convinced he and his 20 million listeners (and the number grows daily) are an important constituent group for the right. And to Steve P, who ignorantly states that he is afraid to debate the White House Clown, I simply will state that Rush effectively debates people every day on his program (but you have to listen to know that), has offered to debate Obama (did so again this morning), and would, I believe, eat Obama alive. Despite Obama’s affirmative action, Ivy-League degree I am not convinced he is particularly bright. In fact, he demonstrates his lack of experience and knowledge day in and day out. The country will come to realize as the months go by that Obama is a just a smooth talking liar, surrounded by petty thieves and syncophants. A false giant surrounded by real dwarfs, where “culture of corruption” was simply a Democrat party campaign promise. And Rush will increasingly point this out to a growing audience. But go ahead and demean Limbaugh as a fool and an inferior. That is wishful thinking and it will bite you in the ass.
