Limbaugh is the leader of the party because mental and moral midgets have abdicated their posts. They still cling to their honors, their ribbons, their medals, even as they flee from the battlefield. If they had decency, they would cast aside their uniforms and pretend to be the cowardly peasants they are in their hearts.
Limbaugh is the leader by default. Its rather like Braveheart where the Scottish leaders were very possibly in the pocket of the English king, or afraid, but one ordinary guy stood up and said “NO.”
