GDT, I certainly agree that the U.N needs us more than we need the U.N, but sometimes we do need it. The Security Council shows that not all member states are equal. I don’t disagree with the rest of your analysis.
There is a place for the U.N, but there is also a need for an organization of democracies, as several have noted above. The new organization should be the focus of our diplomacy, not the U.N.
