“Europe has always been anti-Semitic and England has always been among the worst.
In fact for hundreds of years until the last 100 years or so Jews weren’t even allowed in England.”
Unfortunately at one time jews were barred from England, but that ban was rescinded not 100 years ago but 350.
Back in the 1650s there weren’t many jews in North America either and the American puritans were mostly none too keen to change that at the time
