vortex also raises a point about the French intifada, about its participants including non-Muslims. This may be true. To find out, I’ve asked on several different lists whose cars are being torched, but no one has answered so far. If the cars mostly belong to non-Muslims, I think we can say this is something related to religion and not class.
Finally, let me add a concern to the six concerns I listed above:
7. The stakes here are so high that it is better to take this very seriously than to ignore it and be very sorry later on. If we lose Western civilization, it will essentially be gone forever, and that includes secular society, feminism and gay liberation.
