Steve: way to totally misunderstand my point.
Bruce is forced to live in Norway because he can’t legally live in the U.S. with his partner. His only two options are: (1) stay in “dangerous” Norway; or (2) abandon his life partner. This is a choice that has been forced on him by U.S. policy. What would you do in his situation?
syn: Speaking of blowing things out of proportion, let’s not forget the image of the Islamic crescent rising over the Tour Eiffel, not to mention Bruce’s blatantly misleading statement about Amsterdam’s Muslim population. Let’s all accept that there’s a threat, but these ridiculous exaggerations make it impossible to take Bruce’s dire warnings seriously.
And one more thing: If the existence of clubs for gay Arabs in Amsterdam and Paris is any indication, quite a few of those scary Muslims are, in fact, gay themselves.
