Unfortunately, multiculturalism suffers from 2 fatal flaws. In the first place, it is based on a false premise: that all cultures will embrace it with equal zeal and respect for the others, which is clearly and historically a utopic dream with no hope of ever being realized.
And secondly, like other movements, it has been hijacked by the “hate the western man” crowd so that its true original meaning and intent has now been distorted and perverted into a western-bashing charade utilized by non-westerners for the sole purpose of gaining special treatment to the detriment of the rest of the people.
Clearly yet one more good idea perverted into a travesty.
