Is it? And you know this how? By reading The Guardian? So if I read Michael Moore or Noam Chomsky, that represents hatred/idiocy etc “throughout America”?

Paid back with interest, and how. Boosted the American economy in the depression. America acted in its own interests and for no other reason. Fair enough. That’s what countries do. But less of the holier than thou. If Britain was reluctant to go to war, America was even more so.
