One excellent survival food to always keep in stock no matter what is raw honey. Honey pretty much lasts forever, is a great energy food and can even heal wounds. Virgin coconut oil is another great ‘healthy’ fat to keep on hand that has a VERY stable, long shelf-life and doesn’t go rancid for years. Canned foods are great too as long as you rotate them and keep replenishing your supply. Making your own jerky meats is another great food source. Dehydrating your fruit is great too.
There are some survival supply food places online but that stuff is super spendy compared to just keeping well stocked.
OTC medicine [aspirin, tylenol, band-aids etc.] is good to keep stocked up too.
I’m sure most of you know all of the above but I figured I’d throw that out there just the same. I’ve been doing this kind of thing ever since we had some earthquakes in the late 90′s and it’s not a bad habit to get into.
