It seems pretty obvious to me that if local law enforcement thinks it is necessary to “stock up” on military-type weapons, the public should give it serious consideration as well.
Private weapons training camps are increasing such as Front-sight in Nevada. The public is not only attending for 2 and 4 day training exercises, but it is also attended by current law enforcement personnel who wish even better training than they are currently receiving.
Joining the NRA and putting their stickers in the front windows of your home will help deter would-be home invasions even if you don’t want guns in the house. When they see my Front-sight sticker in the window, they also know I have had weapons training in addition to be armed. Burglars think their lives are worth more than what they can get by breaking and entering.
