The only MSM outlet I regularly pay attention to is NPR. There, Iraq has virtually disappeared from the face of the Earth. The above sentences in quotes imply something I’ve noticed. It seems to me that the negative stories were 10-minute in-depth descriptions of horror and quagmire while anything positive was a passing comment such as “…with the violence in Iraq on the decline, Democrats have refocused their attention …”. I don’t think your 1.67 / 1 ratio takes that into account.
