Give Up the Racist Narrative: A Letter to Attorney General Eric Holder
I know a black guy who for the past 3-4 years was kissin’ the a____s of white managers to get ahead. Everyone around the black guy (blacks, whites, Asians, etc.) knew this guy was just one big brown-noser, but this guy didn’t care if you knew that because he was getting the promotions and the fame and the power. He was well-liked by the white leadership because he was fooling them with all his BS. His peers and subordinates all knew he wasn’t carrying his load, and worse, we knew he didn’t know much about his own field. He basically got to his position by BSin’ his way up there. We all knew he was the laziest guy in the organization. In fact, I gave him a couple of urgent and critical assignments because he told me he wanted to learn my field and also to help my staff out, who were constantly swamped and exhausted with work. About 3 months later, after this guy didn’t do a darn thing with the assignments, I took the projects back and assigned them to one of my employees, who speedily completed the assignments with no problems whatsoever. I lost all respect for this brown-noser.
I left the organization, but came back one day on a business trip and I saw Mr. Brown Noser. We spoke, and lo and behold — he told me he was in the process of filing a complaint against his organization’s leadership because he was given a bad evaluation rating and was stripped of his supervisorial duties and power. His complaint was based on…what else? Racism. He said the white managers were treating him badly because they didn’t like black people, especially after Obama was elected. Amazing. When this guy was getting his way and moving up in the career ladder even though he didn’t deserve it, he was all smiles and buddy-buddy with the white folks. As soon as he was found out to be a slacker/do-nothing/know nothing, he screams bloody racism.
This black victim crap needs to stop. I’m an Asian, and I’m sick of the disgusting theater.
