Hey guys, maybe you should check out the movie “Who Killed the Electric Car?” It was directed by Martin Sheen and is currently on comcast’s “On Demand” under Encore under “Free Movies”. Anyhow this movie is a documentary of how the Electric Car died in 2006. The technology already exists to produce an Electric Car with a 300 mile range. All of the auto makers were making them from 1996 to 2006, GM’s Saturn Division, Honda, Toyota, and Ford. This was iniated by the California’s Air Research Board, when the mandated a ’0′ emission vehicle be sold by any Auto Maker that wanted to sell cars in California (the volume had to be 10% minimum). The long and short of it is this, the Oil companies own a contolling share of all new technology, a controlling share or major influence of the Auto Makers and major influence of the Federal Government according to the movie. Until the American people wake up and realize who or whom they are buying their cars, their gas for their cars, the electricity that heats and cools thier homes, etc. we are only going to be offered plausible substitutes for real value in all markets. Do your homework!! We need domestic car makers otherwise the imports will win a huge monopoly. We need the imports to compete on the current level to keep the domestics HONEST!! Think About it!
