OK, don’t know if this will be read; HOWEVER, if FORD spent it’s money making vehicles rather than supporting ANY agenda, they would not be in trouble. They would be able to decrease their marketing budget as well – if only they spent the money building great cars.
AND since they decide to be social engineers rather than automotive engineers, they should not be surprised that they loose some of their customer base by alienation. Neither should they be surprised that their quality is inferior.

EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES: It is not that they employ (EOE meaning NO preferential status) sodomites FAIRLY; it is that they recruit them with exclusion to others.

ADVERTISING: It is not a matter of WHERE they advertise that galls me. It is HOW they advertise. The images that they select, the words that they use in the GLSB media don’t say “We’ve a better car”. They promote a life style rather than their product. And they so in hopes that they can purchase brand loyalty.

THE CRUX: It is Ford’s ACTIVISM that I oppose (with or without the AFA). Whatever ACTIVISM that the executives of any company engage in is not an issue; but when they utilize the corporate image and resources to promote social change offensive to some, there can be no surprise on their part that they loose business. It will be a better day when Fort focuses on autos insted of social change.

MY ADVICE TO FORD: Engineer cars, trucks, etc. Build them. Be the best in the market. Hone your skills and focus your resources on the critical mission of the company. Raise the bar for autmotive advances. Make your competitors wonder how they will compete against your quality and innovation. Then your share holders, your employees, and your customers can exert more efforts at social change and you can SELL the best cars because you MAKE the best cars. Few people will not purchase a product because you DON’T give money to their charities. Many will choose to not buy because of whom you CHOOSE to support. Be responsible to your customers, employees, and shareholders: get out of the social change business and back into the automotive business. (Oh, check out those who are succeeding; see how much ‘social change’ they are working to promote.)

AND, no, you’ll not use the profit from my car purchase to support your social agenda. I also choose to not purchase any FORD products.
